AGRICULTURAL CENTER OF COLIMA

The Tecomán valley is a coastal plain and the most important agricultural zone of the state of Colima. It represents 12% of the total area of the state. Agriculturalists from diverse states of the Republic combined efforts with native farmers to develop crops of coconut palm, banana and lemon trees. Today acres of palm trees line the Colima-Manzanillo highway and stands with fruit and coconut candies are a common site. Gift shops at bus terminals and airports have a large selection for the tourist wanting to take home a bite of Colima.
